Our Approach To Conservation Storytelling

Our work in conservation filmmaking blends journalistic storytelling
with cinematic craft. From wildlife research in remote landscapes
to human-driven environmental documentaries, our dedicated field unit focuses on stories
that create understanding, empathy, and change.

“Working with WorkCabin Films is one of the best investments we've made to expand our brand recognition and reach with new and existing audiences."

John Chambers, Marketing and Communications Specialist, Kawartha Conservation

"With WorkCabin Films' cinematographer Gregg McLachlan you’re not just hiring a filmmaker, you're getting a world class conservation storyteller."

Stu Mackenzie, Program Manager, Long Point Bird Observatory

“Gregg's genuine and kind personality, passion for the natural world, and skill in creating a compelling story, makes choosing to work with WorkCabin Films an easy choice.”

Natasha Barlow, Ontario Projects Biologist, Birds Canada

"Gregg is killer behind the lens!"

Michael Mathews, Red Wolf Landscaping
Collaboration is how great stories get told
We come from conservation ourselves. That means we understand field days, permits, weather windows, sensitive species,
and the reality that the work comes first. Our role is to document your story without getting in the way
and do it clearly, accurately, and with respect for the science and the people doing the work.

Who We Work With

Our dedicated field unit partners exclusively with conservation nonprofits, environmental organizations, researchers,
Indigenous-led initiatives, and mission-driven teams across Canada
who need powerful film storytelling to support conservation, education, and advocacy.
Conservation isn’t just a niche for us. It’s who we are.

Respecting every story

Science-based stories and films made with conservation leaders

We live and work on the Traditional Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, and we honour the Neutral, Anishinaabe, and Haudenosaunee peoples whose deep relationship with this land continues today. With gratitude, we recognize our responsibility to centre Indigenous voices and leadership in how we create and share stories.
