Producing new podcast for biosphere region
WorkCabin Creative is editing and producing a new podcast for the Long Point Biosphere Region. The series is about people’s personal connection to nature, their sense of well-being in it and their responsibility to care for it.
Biosphere reserves promote solutions reconciling the conservation of biodiversity with its sustainable use. They are learning areas for sustainable development under diverse ecological, social and economic contexts, touching the lives of more than 250 million people.
There are currently 714 biosphere reserves in 129 countries, including 21 transboundary sites, that belong to the World Network of Biosphere Reserves.
Canada’s 18 UNESCO biosphere reserves represent the country’s geographic, climatic ecological, economic, and cultural diversity. Canada’s first biosphere reserve designation was in 1978 and its latest was in 2016.
