The Evolution To WorkCabin Films
I’ve been solely dedicated to full-time conservation filmmaking for just over a decade, and that got me thinking late last year: Am I still ‘WorkCabin Creative’? Does that name best represent what I do today? In the early days I also did featured guest speaking at conservation events and conferences. I talked about storytelling, marketing, branding, and social media.
As the journey has unfolded, the focus shifted 10+ years ago to visual storytelling and being all about the art of capturing and producing stories about impact of conservation storytelling. I realized it’s time for a small adjustment to the name “WorkCabin Creative.” It no longer fully captures the essence of what I do or the specialized expertise I’ve developed in this field. That’s why I’m excited to embrace a new name that truly reflects my identity: WorkCabin Films. This change isn’t just a rebrand; it’s a celebration of growth and commitment to the conservation mission through impactful visual storytelling.
WorkCabin Films represents the heart of my work and using the medium of video to elevate the voices of conservation organizations. This name also acknowledges the trust and partnerships I’ve built with conservation groups across Canada, as well as the dedication I’ve poured into crafting films that make a difference. By aligning the brand with my purpose, WorkCabin Films sets the stage for the next chapter in the journey: continuing to tell authentic, compelling stories, and more documentaries that matter to the planet and the people working to protect it.
More importantly, the evolution to WorkCabin Films also means I’m able to build a team that will better align with goals to expand the scope and size of conservation film projects that we’re able to take on.
Indeed, the future is looking exciting for WorkCabin Films.
