Filming new conservation series
Peak filming season is well underway at WorkCabin Creative and videography work has begun on another major video series for a conservation nonprofit and numerous partner agencies.
I’ve already been in the field at several sites for filming. Last week I was filming turtle monitoring on roads, And this week filming was at a prescribed burn site, tallgrass prairie restoration, Lupine seed collection, and tree planting on marginal farmlands.

This latest client filming work is a five-part series highlighting various conservation efforts, including road ecology, grasslands, agricultural runoff, forests and treed swamps, and invasive species.
Filming will continue over a five-month span and production will begin in the fall. The entire project is being filmed on cinema lenses. Aerial filming across a variety of landscapes is also part of the work.
The project is funded by Environment and Climate Change Canada.
Organizations participating in this series include Long Point Biosphere Region, Nature Conservancy of Canada, Norfolk County Forestry Department, Ontario Nature, Natural Resource Solutions Inc., Norfolk Environmental Stewardship Team (NEST), ALUS Norfolk, and many more.
